Bare in mind I used Instagram and PicPlz for most of these photos with filters, so the colors and textures might have a "dated" feel. UPDATE: It seems picplz and twitpic photos embedded in the editor but not when I hit "post". Will try to figure out a workaround.

First stop at Rawley's in Fairfield. Hot Chihauhua Dog on top and the "Works" Dog on the bottom.

Here's the Rawley's menu

Next we drove to New Haven. Got to Frank Pepe's an hour before their "late" opening.

I cannot describe how good the White Clam pie was. I can't believe I had never heard of CT pizza till a few years ago!

That night after dropping off our stuff at the hotel, we went to Archie Moore's for beers and grub while watching Monday Night Football.

Buffalo Wings were really good

Pulled Pork Nachos... f*cking great! So much real melted cheese and delicious tasty pulled pork. The sauce was very sweet.

Got up early the next day for Louis Lunch to try one of those original hamburgers. Were the first ones in line about 15 minutes to 11.

Yes, I will have it YOUR way

The hamburger

...was a little disappointed with the burger. Kind of bland and uninteresting

Before heading to Meriden, stopped at the Foxon Park plant and picked up a few cases

Next stop Meriden, CT home of Ted's

Ted's menu

That cheese is insane!

Much tastier than it's Louis Lunch counterpart

Was planning on eating at Ted's late in the day, but we went early and headed to Mystic early... we were still hungry that night so we went off of our plan and went into town for dinner. I would have loved to get some fresh fried belly clams, but apparently late December is not the season for the usual fare. We went to S&P Oyster Company. Started with the fried oysters.

Then went with the Lobster alfredo on the recommendation of our very hot waitress.

Next morning, got up and made our way to Kitchen Little. We walked in and there were two free spots at the counter.

Had the #2 S’medley. Eggs atop homefries, sausage, mushrooms & onions smothered w/ cheese, served with toast.

After a quick stop and loss at Foxwoods, we started the trek to Conventry. Hello Bidwell Tavern.

The wings menu at the Bidwell

We ordered the Hot Teriyaki Sesame and Mustard Horseradish Wings

Then we went for the Bidwell Skins

We were so stuffed the next day that I couldn't drag myself to Mo's Midtown in Hartford. All in all a great trip. Thanks to the community again for all the great ideas.
Re:CT Food Trip (Nancypalooza)

Looking forward to when you can post photos, ablampac!
CT Food Trip: UPDATED with Photos (ablampac)

UPDATE: I never noticed that links were blocked on the forum because of spam. My friend and I are already taking about our next trip.
