We ended up liking Keefer's a lot, and I'd recommend it.
Curious if anyone has been to Gene & Georgetti's lately. A close friend of mine was recently there and said it was wonderful, but I had been hearing mixed things.

Sorry- I don't know this place-and haven't heard any buzz about it.
I recently have had great steaks downtown at Rosebud Prime
(and also an awesome ceaser salad there)
And at David Burke- where they dry age in a Salt Room- they also have a nice lunch special at DB.
There is some discussion of Keefer's over on LTHforum.com, which is a more Chicago-local board

Doesn't anyone have an opinion? These boards have sure gotten quiet compared with a few years ago.

Anyone been here? I've been recommended it, but I'd like to hear more feedback before I actually make the choice to go here. I only have steak dinners a few times a year, so I want to make sure I pick the right place in downtown Chicago.

I've always loved Gene & Georgetti's, but was hoping to try somewhere new.
