The tradition started in 2003 at college. I'll be throwing The Siete Fiesta this Saturday, which is the 5th in a row at my current apt.

I'm getting Oaxacan Style Mexican catered from a small taqueria around the corner from me. I'm also making 5 Gallons of Lee Trevino Punch. It's like an Arnold Palmer only Mexican.... Get it?

Mas Cervesas, por favor! Mucho Frio!
Re:Planning A Cinco De Mayo Meal (MiamiDon)

We celebrate Cinco de Mayo on May 6th (it's my wife's birthday). We're getting take-out from Ernesto's Taco Shop.

http://www.miaminewtimes.com/locations/ernestos-taco-shop-825265/

Re:Planning A Cinco De Mayo Meal (Sundancer7)

I made my version of Mexican rice using chorizo, ground beef, sausage, vidalia onions, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, and several spices. I sauteed the veggies before adding to the rice and I browned all the meat before adding to the rice. I added roasted red peppers and pimento peppers on top for color

I also made a Tres Leche cake that I frosted with some cream fluffy cheese frosting and added some sliced peaches and lime on top of the cake for color.

Paul E.
