Oh, these Mexicana Hannah ones are really red hot, and they are small -- about the size you described. And they are not at all mushy. And they don't come in bottles or jars. Each one is wrapped in plastic with some of the pickling liquid inside. In addition to being hot, they're really tasty.

I just bought a bottle of the Hannah's "RED HOT" sausages to see what they tasted like since I've been working on my own pickled hot dogs and sausages. I haven't seen the Mexican ones, but the so called "RED HOT" sausages are not hot nor or they sausages. They are like half sized 7/1 chicken and beef franks that must be about 4" long that are salty and very mushy.

Not good at all.

There's a Wonder Bread outlet store near me, and I spotted these things next to the cash register when I was getting some hot dog buns. I bought just two of them, but I'll be going back tomorrow for more. I'm also nearly out of Fischer's pickled sausages. Gotta make a run for a few more jars of those, too.

Amazing!

The one I bought came in an individual wrap, but it wasn't at all mushy, and while it was sort of salty, it wasn't overly salted. As to spicy? Well, my tongue is still tingling, and I love hot foods.

Dang! Weird!

Just ate one. A little mushy, a little salty, a little spicy. I think this box has been in my trunk for several months. This may be the problem.
