(Hepcat)

What was said in the Wall Street Journal article?

Widening my initial question, what are currently the best places to enjoy good regional Roadfood fare in Kennebunkport? I attended St. Anthony's high school in Kennebunkport in the 1965-66 school year and I returned for a long weekend in early October of 1988 so my memories are probably dated at best.

Re:Best lobster rolls in Kennebunkport, Maine? Federal Jack's is a pretty good brewpub as well.
Re:Best lobster rolls in Kennebunkport, Maine? (Holly Moore)

My experience is from a few years back.

I'd say Mabel's Lobster Claw for lobster roll, but it ain't cheap. Mabel's primairly specializes in various whole lobster preparations and does them quite well.

Next town over, the Cape Portise Lobster Company does a very good one. When I was their they had two places. The most scenic is on the pier at the waterfront. The Clam Shack's version is on a round bun, which rules it out by my criteria.

Allison's, which is on the town square fries up great clams for dining room eating. If you don't mind fighting off the sea gulls, grab a pint at the Clam Shack and eat them leaning on the bridge next door.

Nunan's Lobster Hut in Cape Porpoise is a good, old time, lobster-in-the-rough option.
Re:Best lobster rolls in Kennebunkport, Maine?
