After 32 years, Bob challenges me to make "hot tar kettle"food. He is out of luck. One of his other favorites, along with what I mentioned, was cut up potatoes, onions, green peppers and butter in foil, on the kettle.
Re:A new way to pop popcorn! They also used to wrap fresh corn on the cob in foil and cook it the same way.He said it was the best food he ever had.

When I was a kid my family used to make "Pitch Potatoes." We would drop potatoes into a bucket of hot pitch, don't remember how long they cooked but it wasn't very long, use a rake to take them out and put on newspapers to cool. Once cool and brittle, hit the pitch to break it open, like cracking an egg. Remove the potatoes , lather with butter and enjoy! They were the best potatoes I've ever eaten

Re:A new way to pop popcorn!
