Cypress contains cypresine, which naturally inhibits mold and mildew, and it is a dense tight-grained wood that will not crack or warp. If left alone it will easily last 20-40 years, weathering to a light gray. It can be cared for with an application of linseed oil every 6 months, or it can be stained and sealed.If stained and sealed, the instructions said to wait a few months first.

Even though it will last, most sources nevertheless recommend covering it during the winter.

Mosca, it really is a nice looking table, but don't you need some kind of protective coating since it's outdoors, or because it's cypress, it doesn't need it?

Beautiful! That is a steal of a deal on 4 wheels!

From Big Egg, the wheels cost extra.

Buy yourself a big marble square or square cutting board so that you don't stain the top. It's too pretty!

I had to use the 3 feet below mine because the hole in the "Made for the large Big Green Egg" hole was a little bit shy on diameter.

This is sort of "technique" related. I ordered a cypress table on eBay from "bge_tables4less"; $250 + $60 shipping. The factory tables are about $600. Today I unpacked it and assembled it, and WOW. If ever a product exceeded my expectations, this one did. Assembly took about 45 minutes, with me taking my time; I'm sure I could have knocked it off in half an hour. He still has small tables; $200 + shipping.

It came as 4 pieces with hardware. Notice the beveled edges and the heavy bracing:

Fully assembled. THE REASON THE DECK LOOKS LIKE CRAP IS BECAUSE WE'RE TEARING IT DOWN AND REPLACING IT! So back off.
