Meal. Ever. (leethebard)

I remember once having lunch at a friend's house in the mid 50's when I was very young and innocent in the ways of the world. His mom made us spaghetti because as she said,"You're Italian right?" She put a plate in front of me (a soup bowl) of what looked nothing like the sunday meal my mom took hours preparing. It looked like soggy mush. I thanked her and asked her how she made it, as I politely tried to force it down. She showed me a few Franco-American cans!!! It tasted like Campbell's tomato soup and very soggy noodles(not pasta). Found out later ,Franco-American was owned by Campbells. I guess they just used their tomato soup!!! I guess there is one product even worse than the infamous Chef's. Pasta in tomato sauce is not meant to come out of a can, I guess!!!! If not the worst meal, certainly the one that opened my young eyes to culture shock!!!
Re:Worst. Then I went on a diet that consisted mostly of fresh food. A few months later, I said, "what the hell", and bought a can of Chef Boyardee something (I think it was ravioli). I opened the can, put it into the pot, smelled it, and tossed it in the garbage. Haven't been able to eat the stuff since.

Bart
Re:Worst.
