Cold plain spaghettios in the morning is sometimes yummy. I've been finding it is hard to find the cheese ravioli. I don't know what it is, but the meat is gross. All we have re Chef BoyArdee on the shelves now is the meat ravioli. Wasn't there some kind of jingle that went "mini mini mini ravioli ravioli you will love it love it love it in your tummy yummy yummy?". The things we remember from childhood...

I remember once having lunch at a friend's house in the mid 50's when I was very young and innocent in the ways of the world. His mom made us spaghetti because as she said,"You're Italian right?" She put a plate in front of me (a soup bowl) of what looked nothing like the sunday meal my mom took hours preparing. It looked like soggy mush. I thanked her and asked her how she made it, as I politely tried to force it down. She showed me a few Franco-American cans!!! It tasted like Campbell's tomato soup and very soggy noodles(not pasta). Found out later ,Franco-American was owned by Campbells. I guess they just used their tomato soup!!! I guess there is one product even worse than the infamous Chef's. Pasta in tomato sauce is not meant to come out of a can, I guess!!!! If not the worst meal, certainly the one that opened my young eyes to culture shock!!!

My wife can't eat the Chef Boyardee ravioli.. it made her sick once and ever since she can't stand the smell of it. Luckily, I don't like it either so she won't have to deal with it again.

Every once in a while, I'll enjoy Spaghettios or Beefaroni cold right out of the can. A throwback to my poor college days that I actually didn't get sick of.

I had a small electric "hot pot" when I was in school and it heated up a lot of CB ravioli during those years. Might have to pick up a can sometime for the nostalgia factor.

I had a neighbor that used to make something similar when we were kids. She called it Hobo Stew. I distinctly recall that gluey "pasta" and that orange sauce that tasted like copper. I think I just gagged as a memory reflex.

I take two cans of the CB mini-raviolies, layer one can in a casserole dish, add grated onion and cheese, add another can topped w/more grated onion and cheese and bake for about 20-30 min. It is one of my families favorite thing to eat. It's cheap, quick and we think is quite tasty. I serve it w/corn and garlic bread.

I think the Wikipedia article, while perhaps not intending to, reveals the explanation of why present-day Chef Boyardee products probably do not taste even close to the Chef's original sauce recipe: "...he sold his brand to American Home Foods, later International Home Foods..." and "ConAgra Foods acquired International..." Enough said.

I'll take the plain Spaghettio's or the ones with franks - not the ravioli, and the meat in the ravioli is weird as are the Spaghettio meatballs. YUCK!

As usual I'll put up Chef Boyardee anything, as worst crap ever plated!

Oddly enough, until I was about 20 or so, I liked Chef Boyardee for a cheap dinner. Then I went on a diet that consisted mostly of fresh food. A few months later, I said, "what the hell", and bought a can of Chef Boyardee something (I think it was ravioli). I opened the can, put it into the pot, smelled it, and tossed it in the garbage. Haven't been able to eat the stuff since.
