Paul Klein, the owner, is an experienced deli operator in the Philly area so I doubt he had anything to do with Pumpernick's in MD. There used to be a Pumpernick's in the North Miami Beach area years ago.
Re:Pumpernick's Deli, Montgomeryville, PA (eruby)

Do yuo know how long they have been in business? I looked at the website and didn't see anything.

There used to be a Pumpernick's in Olney MD (and they to had a pickle bar) but they closed. I'm wondering if it's the same people.
Pumpernick's Deli, Montgomeryville, PA (acer2x)

My favorite local deli in the 'burbs. It's a notch below Famous 4th Street or Herschel's East Side in the Reading Terminal Market but for the 'burbs it's pretty good. Even though it's a "slicer joint, " they will thick cut their corned beef and pastrami on the slicer upon request. Their Ruebens and Rachels are excellent as are their dinner platters-stuffed cabbage and chopped sirloin in particular.Their matzo ball soup is outstanding. Their smoked fish platters are excellent as is their LEO omelet.

Here's a review:
http://uppermoreland.patch.com/articles/pumpernicks
