(deepfryerdan)

Sounds like a taco flavor mince pie variation.. which I've had and it is very good. (6star)

I came across this on Slog (in The Stranger), and it is certainly different. It sounds like it would be tasty, though I am not sure I would want it as a birthday cake. Anyone have any thoughts on this "recipe"?

"A savory alternative to birthday cake: Bacon cornbread layered with black beans, seasoned ground beef, and nacho cheese sauce. Frosted with sour cream and decorated with crunched up cheese Doritos. Served at room temperature." (In one of the comments they do mention that the ground beef needs to be kept at a temperature of 145 degrees to be safe.) http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2011/06/30/cuts-like-cake-tastes-like-taco
