Don, would you consider editing the title of this thread to read 24 (or 20) hot dogs? Or did you disregard the listings for time-honored offerings such as Nathan's?
Re:13 NYC Hot Dogs (ken8038)

<Ken, have you been to Crif and Please Don't Tell?
I've been to Crif. Since my preferred toppings are Kraut or Chili or just mustard, it was overkill with all the topping choices, but the dogs are prepared with care and done properly, and the place is not pretentious at all. Sorrry, I never heard of Please Don't Tell.

PS: I just realized that Time Out Article actually lists about 20 Hot Dogs. If you click the right arrpw after viewing the last dog on the right, another set of thumbnails appears that you can click on. And they do include Gray's Papaya and Dominick's truck, two of the old school favorites.

Re:13 NYC Hot Dogs (MiamiDon)

ken8038

(a dirty water Sabrett)

This better list of only 3 places is about all you'd need in NY:
http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-02-20/local/28634967_1_sabrett-crif-dog-mustard

I finally got to Dominick's truck just a few weeks ago on my way out to Belmont Race Track for our annual Bobby Day (long story..) reunion.
