The Great Chefs of NOLA are holding a fund raiser. Here's the story. From www.nomenu.com
http://www.nomenu.com/joomla1/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=184&Itemid=185
Chefs' Party For Nathanial Zimet, Sunday Evening

You probably heard what happened to Chef Nathanial Zimiet a couple of months ago. After another night of great cooking at Boucherie, his four-star restaurant in Carrollton, he was attacked and shot at close range. He is expected to recover, and is coming along fine, But he was without health insurance, and the bills are enormous.

The chefs of New Orleans--always giving to the community through the grazing fundraisers they volunteer for all year long--are quickest to respond when the need is within their ranks. Thirty-four of them will be at Howlin' Wolf this Sunday night, cooking and serving. Here's the list:
Boucherie
La Petite Grocery
Three Muses
Iris
Patois
Crescent Pie & Sausage Co
Martinique Bistro
Lilette
Dante's Kitchen
St James Cheese Co
Satsuma
Cafe Rani
Brigtsen's
Charlie's Seafood
Zea Rotisserie & Grill
Herbsaint
Cochon
Joel's Catering
Cure
Dante's Kitchen
Green Goddess
Melissa's Fine Pastries
August
Luke
Domenica
Ralph's On The Park
Cafe B
River Shack Tavern
Oak Crest Mansion
Kajun Kettle
Tracey's
Rio Mar
La Boca
A Mano
High Hat
The chefs start cooking and the bar (included in the price) will open for the patron party at five Sunday afternoon. At nine, the event shifts to The Night Owl Benefit Show, a music event with cash bar, until 1 a.m. The bands include Hot 8 Brass Band, The Revivalists, MyNameIsJohnMichael, Supagroup, Happy Talk Band, and others. The food needs of the Night Owl partiers will be attended to by the Cue Crawl, therolling purple barbecue truck that Nathanial ran before opening Boucherie.

Tickets for the patron party (which also include the Night Owl Benefit) are $85 if you get them on line between now and midnight Saturday night. Tickets for just the Night Owl Benefit are $35.
