I did try these from a recipe in an International Cookbook - they were fried and were very good - but I would be interested to see how they turn out baked.

Wellhell - if you're going to cholesteral yourself up with the eggs and sausage you might as well fry them to get that crsipiness on the outside going on.

Scotch eggs, reminds me of another one of those Navy dishs. Although it was called Scotch Woodcock it was not the original version. This was sliced up hard boiled eggs in a cheesey sauce. Was really pretty good.

Many of my friends would just throw out the eggs and drink the scotch...

I like them baked and warm with white gravy on them. Maybe a dash of Crystal Sauce.

I tried them in London, England. I was filling up my car with gas and I bought one that was cold. They probably would be better to me hot but it seems that they are a popular picnic food and served cold or cool.

I have been making them for years and our family loves them. I often make them to take on a roadtrip. They make for a great breakfast or lunch and easy to avoid the fast food places if you have these with you.

I bake mine instead od deep frying and they turn out just great!

Scotch eggs are one of those things that everyone should try at least once. Once was enough for me - they're OK, but not anything I'd ever order again and I certainly would not want to go to the trouble of making them at home.
