I should have added in my initial posting that I am a licensed mobile food vendor in Arizona (Maricopa county). I had no problem getting a commissary because there is one central commissary that all mobile food vendors used (don't quote me; I might be wrong).
There is no such place in El Paso, Texas. I did talk to two El Paso county food inspectors about knowing of any CPF (commissary), both answered the same way; did not know of any.
I have been to different food establishments in El Paso and make my pitch on getting a CPF but no luck yet. I'm not giving up. I'll keep looking.
Re:Help/advice in getting a Central Preparation Facility (CPF) in El Paso, Texas (chefbuba)

The common name for what you are looking for is a commissary.
Use the search function on here...there many threads on this very subject.
Ask your health dept, they will know if there is a shared kitchen in the area.
Help/advice in getting a Central Preparation Facility (CPF) in El Paso, Texas (4vida1)

 Greetings to all!
I am new to Roadfood.com. I'm in the process of starting my mobile food vending cart (hot dogs), in El Paso, Texas. It will be doing business as "Bernie's Dawgs". I was hoping I can get some help/advice in getting a Central Preparation Facility (CPF). What is a CPF?
A legally permitted food establishment, such as a restaurant, where water is obtained and waste water is disposed and food is kept, handled, prepared, packaged or stored.
I have'nt been able to get a restaurant to be my CPF.
Does anyone know of a restaurant in El Paso that could be my CPF? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have everything else in place, the last piece I need is the CPF.
Bernie
