I love chili in chocolate ice cream.

I had it first at one of John Sedlar's restaurants back in 1989. It was in Manhattan Beach, California but I forget the name. Nice rich, chocolate taste with a chili kick on the way down. It was wonderful.

Had something similar at Jeni's. It was good, but not as good as John Sedlar's. It wasn't bad, just not the best.

It was supposed to be chippy but this spell check is driving me crazy, changing all my interesting word, like chip-py into boring words like choppy.

OMG!!! I just had this today. A $5.50 ice cream sandwich, one of the best ever. Large homemade chocolate chip cookie with chocolate chocolate chip - and ancho chile - ice cream!! This is a very specific place in NYC, I know they have a few locations, but I don't know where. They are known for their superb chocolate.

Not only was it chocolate-y and choppy but the chile powder was remarkable and left a nice post-ice-cream tingle!
