(mayor al)

Not a DIY place, but one of our local riverfront restaurants offer choice of "their" version of the Tomato Juice base ( a spicy V8 flavor juice) plus two or three spicy meat slices skewered in the long toothpick in the Drink with the usual celery and scallion 'sticks'. The flavor that Pepperoni and other meat gives the beverage make it a fine sipping drink. I like the thought of the Horse Radish garnish. We'll have to try that soon.
Isn't the drink made with Bloody Mary Mix, Vodka, and Beef Bullion called a "Bullshot"??? Point me in the direction if there's one here in Austin.

You can generally find them at places that do brunches. Contact the food editor at your local paper. Bet they would know.
Re:DIY Bloody Mary Bars - Where are they? The wierdest thing I've ever put in mine was horseradish instead of hot sauce. Learned that in the airport bar in Portland Maine.

They're kinda like a salad bar. The bartender pours your booze and then you go to the "Salad Bar" and add what you like to it.
Re:DIY Bloody Mary Bars - Where are they? (DawnT)

Powdered celery seed or celery salt, V8, L&P Worcestershire, lime juice. Nothing weird about using creamy horseradish in place of Tabasco, that's fairly common. I make the mix not for bloody mary's but as the base for my pot roasts and beef stews.
Re:DIY Bloody Mary Bars - Where are they?
