I was looking through the Hot Dog section and found this disturbing thread. Guy asks for Hot Dog recipes and gets:
1) Are you talking about add-on condiments or recipes to make the hot dogs themselves.
There's plenty of posts on here about both. Suggest you learn how to use the search function on here.
2) Then do it yourself. Don't expect us to do your work for you.
There is no composite list anywhere on here.
3) Bill-what in hell are you looking for? This site IS great for all kinds of recipes, and hot dogs are one of our favorite foods....
4) He also gets flagged for spam.

No welcome to the new member, no questions as to his actual request. In the past members would have welcomed him into the roadfood world with open arms and a little humor. Given him links of the great recipe links over the years. This guy was was knocked down in the batters box on the first pitch. What ever happened to the theory that there are no bad questions? Almost like some of you are head hunting instead of helping the site. A couple years ago I used to have to check in just about everyday or more here to keep up on the activity. Now its every couple weeks and I feel I am not missing much. Site and its members must be getting tired. I will start a thread on it....Russ

I think what TD Bill is looking for is, recipes of made to go Dogs such as reviewed by Roadfood http://www.roadfood.com/R...ew/5308-5398/crif-dogs My suggestion would be to copy and paste into a word program all the various reviews from this forum and compile your own list.
I haven't been able to find a short cut myself.

Homemade Frankfurters (Hot Dogs)

3 feet sheep or small (1-1/2-inch diameter) hog casings

1 pound lean pork, cubed

3/4 pound lean beef, cubed

1/4 pound pork fat, cubed

1/4 cup very finely minced onion

1 small clove garlic, finely chopped

1 teaspoon finely ground coriander

1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram

1/4 teaspoon ground mace

1/2 teaspoon ground mustard seed

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

1 teaspoon freshly fine ground white pepper

1 egg white

1-1/2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

1/4 cup milk

Just make sure the grinder, stuffer and meat are COLD...

That's kind of what I was looking for. Thank you. I want more of an aggregated recipe list than to pick one by one.

I've been working on this one for sometime, 1 hot dog, boiling water, boil dog till it's done. Put it into a hot dog bun, eat it at your leisure, while pulling someones leg!
