I've been in New Orleans on New Year's Eve.

Warning... if your hotel is in The French Quarter, do not drive out of the French Quarter if you want to return any time prior to 1:00 AM the next year.

Learned the hard way.

If you can't be in Times Square on New Years Eve, (And who in their right mind would want to be), the Next Best place is New Orleans, LA!
First, have a delicious meal at one of the 100 places recommended by Tom Fitzmorris of the New Orleans Menu Daily and then venture into the streets of the French Quarter if you dare!These are ranked in no particular order.
