I'm just heading 202.3 miles east. The food there is fine. But I will be dead of starvation by the time we get there.

Well, yesterday it was four eggs scrambled with cheese, hash browns with jalapenos and topped with chili. This morning it was just a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. Tomorrow we'll be on the road, so I'll starve to death.

Nice to see your cutting back, how could you start to death traveling in that direction. I would think the food would get better, the closer you got............pnwc

Goetta, over-easy eggs, fried red taters with onions, a couple of those frozen Pillsbury biscuits (pretty good, IMHO) with some sausage gravy on them. Bacon on the side...me and my Maine Coons love the bacon...

After all that talk on the breakfast forum about biscuits and gravy I made them yesterday - four Pillsbury frozen biscuits - and gravy made with Williams sausage - put them in small individual Rubbermaid containers and stored them in the fridge.

This morning - popped one of them in the microwave for a little over a minute and a biscuit and gravy masterpeice was born - and consumed.

I actually did breakfast today! Corned beef hash (from a can, whatever, I like it), toast with blackberry preserves, scrambled eggs with cheese, apple juice, and some blackberry yogurt.

What's the brand of the Stone Ground Grits please and can you order them on-line?
If not, I'll ask my Daughter, who lives in Franklin,TN and travels all over the state, to pick me some up!
Currently, I order the Speckled Heart Stone Ground Grits from Calloway Gardens down in GA. Thry're milled by someone else but I haven't been able to find out who. Maybe Anson Mills.
I think I remember where I can find a Bloody Mary!!!

I have an uncle who orders his corned beef or pastrami extra fatty. He's strange, but he's still alive.

I've wanted a bagel for some time now. I might just have to get one today.

My grandfather always asked for extra fat when ordering corned beef and pastrami.

No bagel, but I do have a nice bialy on hand.

We have several of the bagel chains here, but none are what I would call wonderful. I'll probably end up at Noah's. The bagels there are sort of cakey.

Today was a FIRST! I made my first "Egg in a Hole"!
Rye bread, hole cut in the center with a small glass and an Egg dropped in.
Butter in a non-stick pan, then bread, then egg, then flip, then plate, then eat! A no Brainer!
Came out over easy, just right!
I'm so proud of myself!

Actually, I like pastrami more EXCEPT at this place. Their corned beef is so terrific. One can order it regular or extra lean..........I cannot believe that anyone would want it extra lean but it it there for the asking.

This morning, my friend and I had breakfast at the Double T Diner. We both ordered the lox and onion omelet with home fries and a bagel. The waiter said "There is no way that you can eat two of these omelets. I am going to put in an order for one and divide it on two plates for you and you tell me what you think."

Our plates came and I could not believe the size of the portions. Even the bagel was huge! It was really delicious (better than at a deli that we have ordered this) and we could not finiish what was on our plates! I believe that the price was $10.95!

My friend and I had a late breakfast at Attmans Deliin Baltimore. He ordered the corned beef sandwitch and I had the hot pastrami. We each had a half of one sandwich along with matzo ball soup and half sour pickles................I will not be able to eat again until tomorrow. We also had a pastry for dessert that I was not familiar with, It was a terrfic meal.

A couple days ago I had breakfast for dinner. So today breakfast was a Cheeseburger with egg and peanut butter on an Englsh Muffin!
