You get in line with your car and order from your car window. This makes it difficult if you're just visiting, as I was. We drove around looking for a park where we could stop and eat, but found none.
Re:Chapel Hill NC - southern food rec please (Michael Stern)

Glenn1234

Sorry this doesn't really fit into "brunch, lunch, or dinner", but our favorite restaurant in all of Chapel Hill is the Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen for breakfast. Get the chicken biscuits. They can fill you for breakfast or lunch. We're not big breakfast people, but it is in our top 10 all-time roadfoods .... probably top 5. It is by far the best breakfast item we've ever had. The biscuits melt in your mouth, and just the piece of fried chicken breast on the biscuit would score among the top fried chicken we've had.

They're in a league of their own.

They close at 2:00 or 2:30 pm. East Franklin Street, about a mile east of the middle of downtown.

Glenn and Janet

Agreed!
Re:Chapel Hill NC - southern food rec please (Glenn1234)

Chapel Hill NC - southern food rec please (hjbyun)

Will be in Chapel hill for a weekend. Looking for southern food recommendations (I will not go back to Mama Dips). I'm looking for nothing fancy but just good southern food (brunch, lunch or dinner). Would prefer family style or buffet but standard order off menu or meat and 3 type of place would also be great.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Been having southern food withdraw.

H
