Chewy... Stan's is wonderful. It's a good thing that parking is difficult in Westwood. My favorite is the banana and peanut butter. Yummmmm!

I concur, also the PBJ, damn delicious. I had a neighbor in my apt. bldg in PdR, that would make weekend runs for a dozen we were supposed to share, the times I got any I could count on 1 hand, as she had a gargantuan appetite, and would eat them all between Westwood and PdR.

Chewy, I have seen Pastrami done like this before. They dip it in a Aujus and put it on Rye bread, it's always been good. I have seen it done with Pork and Roastbeef. I thought you were the poster boy for Philippes, how the hell do you think they heat the meat........

They roast all their meat, that's where they get their juice, they also hold it in a warmer, and dip the bread, not the meat, PNWCHEF, they certainly don't boil their Lamb, Turkey, Tops, and Pork, shame on you! Katz's and similiar well known Deli's dont slice and boil either...You need to come here for a tutorial and a boiled Baby Back Rib!

Jimmies Roadhouse 70 in Portola (Plumas County) uses pastrami on their French Dips...it's an odd surprize IF you're not expecting it (I prefer the regular roast beef)...

Someone sent me this Youtube clip from a few of my local places all of which I consider Roadfood. I've been multiple times to two of them. The third is on my list of want to tries...

Chewey, I think you might be interested in the last segment which is Johnnie's Pastrami. I've been going there for years.

Mar, I loved Stan's, I had an office on Galey Ave. in Westwood, short walk away.

That's a show that is aired by The Food Network which is carried by satellite & cable operators (channel 110 on Dishnet)...I guess you're not able to watch, huh...??? Lots of good shows there, and also on the Cooking Channel...probably not as good video resoution watching via YouTube...I get it in HD with stereo sound...
