I was talking with a fellow at a party extolling the virtues of Gradys - below Goldsboro - where we had stopped on the way down. He told me about this place where you get a slice of crisp skin on every order and offered to take me next time I was down there. We've not been back since then, but you've got me now with the urge to visit SOON!
Thanks, Doug

Re:real deal eastern Carolina bbq (MetroplexJim)

 Eastern Carolina 'cue absolutely rules.

It is the original 'cue and has never since been surpassed.

The hunk 'o skin is a nice touch but it should be chopped into the minced mix of the hog.

That's why they call it "WHOLE HOG!".
Re:real deal eastern Carolina bbq (Root-Beer Man)

Even though I'm not a huge fan of Eastern Carolina BBQ, that Que looks good enough to eat. I like the addition of the skin. I could make a meal of that alone.
real deal eastern Carolina bbq (Captain Morgan)

Bob Garner pays a visit....this is whole hog, served with skin.....they even give you a piece
of pig skin with the chicken!

so good they're eating it for breakfast.

This is the real deal....only open on Saturdays, 35 year old recipe and technique has never changed,
make their sauce with apple cider vinegar and sell the sauce in the same bottles with no labels!

it's the last segment, on the progress bar, just click the last marker and it will take you right there.

btw...I was born just down the road from Beulaville in Chinquapin. The two folks you see at the
table at the beginning are my fake Uncle Charlie and fake Aunt Grace.....the Lord blessed me with
their love and friendship.

http://video.unctv.org/video/2200745622
