My brother and I stopped by Mundt's on Friday afternoon.

There's a sign on the door saying the place "is not open at this time."

Looks like it hasn't been open for quite some time. There are still various candies on display in the window, but they look like they've calcified.

And Mundt's is not listed in the Madison giveaway brochure that lists restaurants, shops, etc. -- including another candy store and a fudge shop.

But that said -- the store is still there, with the signage for Mundt's.

I have just tried calling twice about an hour apart and there was no answer. Not a good sign, but doesn't necessarily mean they are closed.

I'll be driving from Indianapolis to Harrodsburg, KY later this week.

I'd like to stop at Mundt's candy store in Madison, but I know it used to keep really unpredictable hours.

Does anyone know if it is still in operation, and if it is, when it might actually be open?

I couldn't find anything definitive after searching on the 'net.
