Hey Rob7937, All I can say is....not good.

Service - Two waitresses claimed me as I walked in the door, the winner was everywhere except my table, including out side.

I ordered country ham and eggs. I was expecting a nice slab of ham. What I got was a bunch of small pieces of ham. They were very disappointing.

The potatoes were dry and hard.

The eggs were cooked perfectly though

Your post begs the question, " What Restauranteur in his right mind would cut back on PA Dutch dishes but then turn around and offer disgusting offel AKA Haggis in it's place????????
Are there that many Scottish people in E. TX, PA?????

Rob7937, On April 16th I will be working in Macungie for about two weeks, I'll give the place a shot. If your funnin me, I'll come lookin for ya.

So far I have only tried one place in town, I believe it was the Bear Swamp. Absolutely horrible food.

Hi All:

Just so everyone knows, The Willows in East Texas, PA was re-opened and is currently open 7AM - 9PM Monday - Sunday. While they have had to cut back a bit on the PA Dutch fare they still offer several PA dishes and even have the stuffed pig's stomach as a regular size fare and a smaller sized offering for the light eater! (Ha!) I have had many meals there in the last couple of years and they are always good and well priced. The area is now also called the Lower Macungie Patch by locals. And don't forget Trio Provisions and Seafood a stone's trrow away for The Willows. Excellent meats, speciality meats and some seafood. The scrapple is yummy!!
