Hi Everybody!
I am the owner of Crawfish Junction. I had some free time yesterday, and googled Crawfish Junction, which is how I came upon this posting.
Our food is ridiculous, but also very unique and amazing. And there is alot of options besides all the deep fried greasy goodness available. ;)
But the real reason I am posting is BuffetBuster, you are from Pittsburgh. I AM TOO!! Good gravy, I can hear a Pittsburgh accent from across the room, and it always about brings tears to my eyes!! So, if you are ever back in this neck of the woods, please stop in. It would be great to talk with a foodie from The 'Burgh!
And we do served deep fried (!) crawfish tails!

For our dinner, Bobbi and I shared the Hangover BBB.

The Hangover was an epic burger. Even after splitting, neither of us could not finish our halves.

Martin order the chili cheeseburger. The burger came with the chili bowled-up in a huge onion ring on top of the burger. There is probably a secret to eating this, but we didn't have it.

Good location, we surely wouldn't want to go to downtown Milford.

I looked at the menu too and found that they have crawfish nachos, also a spinach-artichoke dip with crawfish tails. But no crawfish entrees. They do have lobster tails - kind of a giant crawfish type dish!

The Cajuns tell this story about having to leave Acacia and go to Lousiana. They didn't know what to expect in their food future so they decided to bring some Lobsters with them. In the course of the journey, the lobsters shrunk from starvation so when the got to LA, the lobsters were so small that they just threw them away in the swamps and ditches. The Little lobsters survived and they wound up calling them mud bugs, crawdads and crawfish,!

Sometimes I get confused by Wisconsin town names. They all sound the same to me! :-) But, that is definitely where my old high school buddy moved.

Yes. That location of the Pine Cone is at I-94 and WI-26, and Watertown's about 10 miles north of there.

The other location is north of Madison at I-90/94 and US-51.

A buddy of mine recently moved to Watertown. Isn't that near the Pine Cone? I know I have been there before, but now it sounds like I need to go back!

buffetbuster - I recall that you were in that area of Wisconsin, so your response is quite obvious now. Bobbi said yesterday that there was a pie shop in Watertown, and you must have been there. If you make it back to Watertown a meal at Zweig's grill is recommended. The place is a tiny owner operated place and a local tradition. My daughter said that is one of their favorite places in Watertown.

The family went to a couple places in the Watertown, WI area tonight; Crawfish Junction is Milford and Mullen's Dairy Bar & Eatery in Watertown. I don't have the cable for my camera with me, so I'll post photos later.

Crawfish Junction is a brightly lit small town bar that is famous for deep frying everything, most notably their hamburgers, but also bacon slices and prime rib bits. We tried all of the above and had raves for it all. Bobbi & I shared the BBB Hangover Burger, that's BBB for Beer Battered Burger. The Hangover adds bacon, cheesy hash browns, fried egg, and cheddar cheese. It was more than the two of us could handle. The fried bacon and prime rib bits were also notable. It was a really fun place in a tiny Wisconsin town.

Mullen's should be on some Roadfood list, somewhere. 2012 marks their 80th year in business. They offer sundaes, malts, and a variety of their ice cream flavors. It was a step back in time for us, and well worth a stop on any Roadfood tour through Southeast Wisconsin.
