Have a great time in PA . . . I wish I could go, sounds fun!!! Bad timing.

With a stretch of good weather coming up (hopefully!), it might be fun to move the Boston Monthly Gatherings closer to RI . . . we can meet in the middle. There are places I'd love to try in Cranston, Exeter, Harrisville, Providence, Warwick etc... I'll chat it up tonight!

Meeting at 5:30 at Pollos a La Brasa El Chalan is perfect! See you at 405 Chelsea Street in East Boston on Thursday the 14th! Two days!

Afterwards, walk to Rincon Limeno at 409 Chelsea to compare the menu.

Then, Frio Rio, 360 R Bennington Street.

Lastly, a break from Peruvian food. Mexican at Taqueria Jalisco at 291 Bennington Street.

So far there are definitely 5 of us . . . two others pending.

Still ironing out an itinerary for Thursday, June 14th.

Paul recommends having Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken at Pollos A La Brasa El Chalan, 405 Chelsea Street. Worth a look is their next door neighbor, Rincon Limeno Restaurant, another Peruvian place at 409 Chelsea Street. Also in the neighborhood at 360 R Bennington Street is Frio Rio. This is a small Peruvian convenience store that sells highly reviewed frozen desserts in unusual flavors - ice cream and shaved ices. Another spot within walking distance of all of these is a Mexican place, Taqueria Jalisco at 291 Bennington Street.

Paul also recommends Angela's Cafe for authentic Mexican and Rino's Place for Italian. These are further away from the places mentioned earlier. Also, Rino's appears to have long waits for dinner. I would like to return to try these at another time.

Most parking lots in the area are aimed toward airport business. Street parking is available and there is a $5 MBTA lot near Orient Heights Station, a 20 minute walk from 1000 Bennington Street. There could be smaller lots but I'm not familiar with the area.
