I was told at the bakery (that's where most of the good donut business happens on this side of the river) that the jelly cake meets the qualifications to celebrate jelly donut day. I agree...because I don't like regular jelly donuts...

Side view full of jelly (actually preserves but whatever) but not oozing...

Helm's Bakery made the best in their day.

I just might have to take a drive to Randy's today. Not the best, but better than driving to Chatsworth.
