Newly opened in the past couple of months is "India Palace" in Pensacola. Brunch 11:00 til 2:00 except closed Mondays. Opening at 5:00 order from menu from a wide selection and enjoy really great Indian fare. I am long ago lover of really good Indian food as is my wife. Best ever we used to enjoy in London. Have also found many good places in NYC but in Pensacola, until India Palace opened, we only had one other choice and it was NOT good.

Enjoy "India Palace" and avoid "Taste of India".

To my Way of thinking, The only way to see the real FL Panhandle is on US Route 98 starting in Perry FL and going West to Gulf Shores AL. That road takes you thru an area that is unique. From Perry to Panacea to Carrabelle to Eastpoint to Apalachicola to Port St. Joe to Mexico Beach has a bunch of local Hole-In-The-Wall Mom & Pops serving mostly seafood in it's various forms. The best oysters in the world are found in Apalachicola at the Up The Creek Raw Bar, The Owl Cafe, Or the Boss Oyster Bar at the Apalachicola River Inn.

AND there is an actual place called the "Hole-in-the-Wall Seafood Market & Raw Bar"

Once you get to Panama City, Drop down onto Rt 30A. It gets you close to the Gulf and some beautiful scenery.
Go on to Santa Rosa Beach and Destin. Both areas are loaded with restaurants to numerous to mention.
Pick up Rt 399 in Navarre. It's on a sliver of a sand bar with views of the Gulf on one side and The Sound on the other. Takes you to P'Cola Beach and Gulf Breeze.
The total distance from Perry to Gulf Shores is right at 200 miles. It's a beautiful 200 miles of varying landscapes and delicious Seafood!

We stumbled upon and had a good experience at Tom's Hot Dogs in Panama City Beach. The original is in downtown Panama City and I would recommend going there. It is a confusing story, but the dogs here can trace their roots back to the late, great Pete's Hot Dogs in Birmingham, AL. They even offer scrambled dogs!
