I also like the the Trillium Cafe in Hood River 4 sandwiches .And welcome 2 road food. &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/fb.ashx?m=704366</link><pubDate>Sun, 15 Jul 2012 21:30:15 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Portland Down Coast to San Francisco to Yosemite (BN4625)</title><description>  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Just got back from a trip to the Columbia River Gorge, , Northern California Redwoods and Coast, ,  and Yosemite.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Here are some pictures from the trip.&amp;nbsp; Sorry no pictures of food    &lt;br&gt;  picasaweb.google.com/111785767063475854621/OregonCalifornia &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Here is a map I put together in planning of restaurants on the Oregon and California coast.&amp;nbsp; These are not all roadfood type places they range from seafood shacks to fancy places.    &lt;br&gt;  maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&amp;amp;msid=209442774027186416274.0004be1ea446a1a54de2d  &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Wednesday May 16th– Columbia River Gorge/Mt Hood Loop    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: Trillium Café (Hood River) – good sandwiches and delicious mixed berry cobbler    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Miho (Portland) - Tried a few dishes tuna poke was good, Bulgogoi was so-so    &lt;br&gt;  and some kind of fried chicken that was great. I forget what it was called    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Late Night Snack and Breakfast for the next morning: Voodoo Doughnuts  (Portland )got the maple bacon bar which was very good and the mango  tango the mango filling was good not sure about the dusting of Tang on  the outside.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Thursday May 17th- Drove from Portland to Astoria and down to Oceanside.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: Ecola Seafood – Fried razor clams couldn’t believe the size of these things.    &lt;br&gt;  Snack: Karla’s Smokehouse – Very good smoked salmon    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Roseannas Oceanside Café – Got the cioppino it was just ok.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Friday May 18th – Drove from Oceanside to Bandon    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Breakfast: Brewin in the Wind(Oceanside) – good breakfast    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: Local Ocean Seafoods (Newport) – good fish. When we were there guys were bringing in fresh fish off the docks    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Bandon Bills Grill (Bandon) – We got there just before they closed ok hamburger.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Saturday May 19th – Drove from Bandon to Eureka    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Food:    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: The Hungry Clam (Brookings) – Excellent Fish &amp;amp; Chips and Clam Chowder    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Trinidad Bay Eatery &amp;amp; Gallery () – Cioppino I really liked this it had some chipotle in it which gave it a little kick    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Sunday May 20th – Drove from Eureka to Gualala    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Breakfast: Amys Delight (Eureka) – Good breakfast run by a nice couple    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: Piacci Pizza (Fort Bragg) – The Tuscano Pizza with prosciutto and potatoes was very good    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Bones Road House(Gualala) – We got here late BBQ had a good smoky flavor a tad bit on the dry side.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Monday May 21st - Drive From Gualala to San Francisco    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Food:    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch: The Marshall Store (Marshall) – Tried my first raw oyster the  texture was not nearly as bad as I had imagined. Also got some grilled  Kilpatrick style with Bacon and Worchestire Sause which were excellent.    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner: Burma Superstar (San Francisco) – Excellent. Teal Leaf Salad  was great so many textures and flavors. Banana Jack Fruit Desert with  coconut ice cream was really good.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Tuesday May 22nd – San Francisco    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Breakfast – 901 Columbus Café – Got a Belgian waffle which was just ok.    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch – Bocallone –Salami Cone and sandwich were very good    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner – Went to Oyaji but they were closed on Tuesday so we ended up  at Kufuya ok sushi and noodles. Should have gone with the all you can  eat shabu shabu which looked good but I wasn’t that hungry.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Wednesday May 23rd – San Francisco to Palo Alto to Modesto    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Breakfast – Hollywood Café – Good breakfast    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch – La Taqueria - very good burrito    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner – Thaiphoon (Palo Alto) – Just your average Thai food    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Lodging: Comfort Inn(Modesto) – Standard chain hotel room    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Thursday May 24th – Modesto to Yosemite    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;I am not going to rate the food at Yosemite I just look at it as human fueling stations.    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Friday May 25th – Yosemite    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Saturday May 26th – Yosemite to Clovis    &lt;br&gt;  Dinner – Todds Cookhouse BBQ(Oakhurst) – Very good pulled pork sandwich    &lt;br&gt;  Desert – Mickeys Frozen Yogurt(Clovis) – Good frozen yogurt lots of flavors    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Sunday May 27th Fresno Airport to San Francisco Airport to Home    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  Breakfast – Just Jo’s(Clovis) – Good breakfast good chicken jalapeno sausage made by Fresno State University    &lt;br&gt;  Lunch – Andale Mexican Restaurant(San Francisco Airport) – Chipotle chicken burrito was way better than I expected    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp;    &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/fb.ashx?m=701257</link><pubDate>Thu, 14 Jun 2012 10:46:17 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
