Humidity is a major factor when it comes to cotton candy.

If you're going to bag... I wouldn't do more than an hour or so supply in advance being outdoors without an ac....if you haven't worked with it in summer conditions. Cotton candy bags and ties.

I'm not sure if it will melt, but I once bought a couple plastic containers of cotton candy and left them in the car while I was at work.

When I returned to the car, 8 hours later I had 2 sugar nuggets in plastic containers.

Then again, I see them hanging in bags at the fair.

Cotton Candy Advice Needed (holdem)

We're renting a cotton candy machine for an event on the 4th. of July. Have never made cotton candy and need some advice. We don't have a trailer so no A/C and it will probably be hot out. I'm worried if we bag it up ahead of time that it will melt. If we keep it in the shade will it be OK? Thanks for any help you can give me.
