You might want to try the Skylark Diner on Rt 1 in Edison. Yes, it's a diner but a very nice one, and the food (including breakfast) is excellent. It's probably 10-15 mins from the Campus (not sure exactly where you are starting from).

Can I add breakfast to my request. My wife is thinking we might take my son to a late breakfast. Again we have time restraints. So it can't be too far away.

Highland Park isn't too far away and Pithari Restaurant has fantastIc Greek food.

There's an Original Pancake House ( I know a chain but even the Sterns approve) in West Caldwell...not too far from the Livingston Campus. They are only open until 3 pm but this location does a very good job and I know you like Waffle House.

Will be visiting my son doing a summer program at Rutger's Busch Campus. Visiting is just a few short hours. We want to take him for a nice, but quick lunch or brunch. Any suggestions??
