There is a place on Laclede's Landing called Hannegans, which is set up to look like the US Senate dining room. Try the "Senate Bean Soup"...it is outstanding.

There are lots of good places to eat downtown. Consult a map for locations but there is an excellent
restaurant called Mosaic that is just east of the dome on Washington that serves tapas...1001 Washington
Also on Washington, 1234 Washington, called Lucas Park Grille..lunch and dinner & Sat. & Sunday brunch.
Closer to the ballpark is a place owned by Joe Buck called JBucks at 1000 Clark..very good. or Mike Shannons @620 Market... both where you can
count on the games being on tv.
Just noticed there is a new restaurant that serves sandwiches called Bailey's Range at 920 Olive.
Also within walking range is Broadway Oyster Bar at 736 S. Broadway
For Breakfast & lunch there is a place called Rooster serving Crepes & such at 1103 Locust.
If you want to do Italian, which St. Louis is famous for...Charlie Gitto's is my fav..207 N. 6th
Also a new restaurant called Three Sixty with a great view getting rave reviews for dinner only at 1 S. Broadway on 25th flr

We've stayed at the Hilton several times and always walk to the Broadway Oyster Bar http://broadwayoysterbar.com/ we love the food and they have live music nightly. Nearby is BB's Jazz, Blues and Soup where the music may be better but we do prefer the food at BOB. http://www.bbsjazzbluessoups.com/
There's several other night spots in the S. Broadway area http://www.bealeonbroadway.com/ There's also an Imo's Pizza and a White Castle which serves as our getaway breakfast after we check out. The Hilton has a sports pub inside where most games are available.

I'll confirm the quality of Angelo's Toasted Ravioli; last time I was in town, someone steered me there as a good place to get them.

I've also had toasted ravioloi at Mama Campi's, Cunneto House of Pasta, Lou Boccardi's and Charlie Gitto's (downtown location) all were equally good with really no discernable difference, although Charlie Gitto's were a little plumper than the others. I've also had toasted ravioli at Riggazzi's, and they were just flat out awful. Angelo's were the best.

Angelo's Taverna, probably just a five minute walk
Part of the Lombardo's family of restaurants in St Louis. They were one of the few places open on labor day. They had the best Toasted Ravioli I've ever had, and apparenty have won many local awards for this. Their soup of the day was really good too, unfortunately I can't comment about the rest of their fare since I didn't have anything else.

How tolerant are you of slightly ghetto areas? Smoki O's BBQ is less than half a mile from there.

I will be in St. Louis this October(20th & 21st) for the Packers game and need help. We will be staying at the Hilton at the Ball Park and would like suggestions for places to eat within walking distance. Saturday night bar food would be OK , with a TV to watch the Alabama-Tennessee game, Sunday breakfast and then dinner Sunday night.
