We go through a 12oz bottle of ketchup a week, every week. The kids put it on everything it seems at times.

You could save some money by buying the larger sizes and loading it into squeeze bottles! Each kid could have their own squeeze bottle!

Never on eggs, but I'll second fried livers, and add a few drops of hot sauce to ketchup for dipping onion rings and French fries. Sometimes I'll cook and eat a hamburger patty by itself, and make a sauce with ketchup and thick Lea and Perrins for dipping.

We've been using Simply Heinz recently. It's pretty good and there's no HFCS in it. Their Organic brand is also very good. Quite tasty. I use it to craft BBQ sauces for the grill and it works really well. I have noticed that other brands are following suit and dropping HFCS from their products and that's something I'm glad to see.

I keep a bottle of Heinz in my fridge for guests.

When we went to The Wiener and Still Champion in Evanston, Illinois, I shared fries, and some ketchup got on them. It was pretty good, tasted almost carbonated. And I don't normally like ketchup.

We like Hunt's 100% Natural because it contains no HFCS.

I eat so little ketchup these days, I can't even remember the last bottle I bought. I usually just use it on potatoes (if they're fried of any kind) and hamburgers.

My homemade steak sauce is Heinz(Is there any other kind?) Ketchup, creamy horse radish sauce, and Lea and Perrins (Is there any other kind?) worcestershire sauce. Ketchup goes good on anything!

I don't like Heinz ketchup, I'm a Hunts man.....I think it tastes way better than Heinz....

I like ketchup with sausage patties and thin pork chops. And of course a good crisp hot french fry. There is a company around the Chicago area that makes Ketchapeno and is carried by a local restaurant.... it's really good, but I can't find it for sale. Since Heinz has been expanding their line I wouldn't be surprised that they would make that variety some day.

And I grew up in the white bread midwest (Minnesota), just around the time fast foods and interstates were coming in, and we didn't know how bland our diet was, very unlike the ethnic richness available elsewhere. I had moved to Omaha in 1971 (steaks at those places on 72nd Street! and always a bowl of spaghetti included), but I never saw ketchup on potatoes until I moved to Kansas City in 1972 and started eating in some of those greasy spoon places in the East Bottoms that existed for truck drivers.

And a hamburger with lettuce and tomato. Well, that was a California Burger in the early sixties, and can still be found on some Midwest menus today.

I remember Al the restaurant owner in a TV Happy Days segment supposedly set in 1960, after the kids had returned to Milwaukee after a trip to California. "Lettuce and tomato on a hamburger," Al said, "What will they think of next?"

The thread started out with ketchup on eggs -- for some reason that I don't know, we grew up using mayo as a condiment on eggs. Not always, but once in a while we would spread some on the fried eggs and then eat as usual. When I joined the working world I would request that in some restaurants, and always got some strange looks.

A fried egg sandwich is important to me for quick, easy and tasty. Always with cheese, but then it might be grape jelly if I feel like breakfast, or mayo or kethup if in a lunch mood. Over the years, my egg sandwich had more ketchup than anything else.

Must have cheese on an egg sandwich. And bacon is always the perfect addition, crispy and crumbly.

I put ketchup on chicken - people think it's weird, but it's similar in taste to BBQ sauce and has a lot less sugar/calories in it.

Ketchup with plain Breakfast Sausage.
Mustard on Sausage Biscuits!
Ketchup with poor quality French Fries. None with good fries.
Use it to make cocktail sauce.
Good with Meatloaf.

Never on eggs although my mother has always eaten hers that way.

Yes, corned beef hash, catsup, a couple of over easy eggs on top!! I lived in TN for a year with some relatives, and in that area, coal mining country, a big breakfast was customary and included sliced tomatoes. My favorite was biscuits and sausage gravy, with a couple of tomato slices. Now days if I have biscuits and gravy at a restaurant, I'll get a glass of tomato or V8 to go with it. Pour a little on the gravy, tastes a lot like having sliced tomato with it!

Yes on the fried bologna. In the hilly section of South Carolina, fried balogna is an art form! Sliced thick and fried brown and crispy!

Fries, of course. Burgers, yup. Scrapple, yes sir! Fried Potaotes or Hash Browns, indubitably.......BUT NEVER, NEVER on a Hot Dog...LMAO!
