Ann, I was trying to point out the nutritional label located within the link. It can be found by clicking on the liverwurst can. There's nothing really bad in the product with the exception of an abundance of, FAT!

My son and I will eat it if it's sliced very, very thin, and fried very, very crisp and made into a sandwich on lightly toasted white bread with a little mayo. It's actually not a bad bacon substitute if you're desperate. :D

Yes, It contains three of the basic food groups. Pork liver, pork fat and, salt!

My parents were "older" when I was born, so I didnt ever know fast food- Kraft macaroni and cheese was something I discovered after marriage( Mom made her own) never knew it existed. Same with Spam. You like it or you dont. I happen to like it. :Chacon a son gout, mon amies". No big deal. And by the way, for those of you that reference it as bug feed-margarine was invented to feed turkeys to fatten them up....they wouldnt eat it. So, they feed it to us. Flies wont eat it-test my theory. Put a stick of margarine out, see if flies go near it to eat.........

I've seen Liverwurst in a can. Can't remember the brand though.

underwood was/is the brand for canned liverwurst. my mother fed it to us when we were kids.... don't know if it's still available, haven't seen it in years. it didn't taste bad, but it was probably loaded with preservatives....

No, you pop off the top, cover the opening with your fingers, lean over the side of the boat and rinse the can by swishing it around in the lake water, drain off and eat!

not so much anymore... the last can of spam that i opened about 2 months ago had very little slime in it. i've also noticed that after frying a sliced can of spam that there is less grease left in the pan. so, it looks like hormel is making a better product these days, and also charging a lot more for it... around here, spam is almost $4 per can..

asian people that i work with tell me that all over asia, spam is a highly regarded product that is given as wedding presents and eaten on special occasions. one chinese guy i work with has a bowl of rice with 2 slices of spam for lunch several times a week.

You got that right!!! I am within striking distance now - - it got pretty grim here after SB XLV - - but I still have fun flaunting the Black and Gold in enemy territory!!!! But this is going to be our season - - Stairway to #7, for sure.....

Ever since I read about the JITB Spam Croissant, I have been craving one - - I can't imagine a better combination of flavors.... My Wisconsin grandkids were in the Islands for 10 days in July, but they couldn't figure out how to bring one back for me.... I told them that if their great grandmother figured out how to carry 5 pounds of Isaly's chipped ham to London when we lived in the UK, they should have been able to do one little breakfast sandwich!!!!! Sigh.......

Don't pack your car for Colorado - - I don't think that they have the spam croissants there... Before Colorado, I lived in Hawaii for 25 years, and I was referring to the JITB's there.... I still read the Honolulu newspaper every day on line...
In reality, I am now in Denmark, WI - - about 15 miles South of Green Bay, and I cannot change my location in my profile for some reason....

Musubi is not only made with Spam in Hawaii - - if you go to the local 7 / 11 or most quick shops, you will find Musubi - - rice and meat wrapped in nori (seaweed), sometimes sprinkled with or rolled in Furukaki powder.... Spam is the most popular, but you will see it with hot dogs, portuguese sausage, chicken katsu (breaded with panko), tonkatsu (Pork), and grilled chicken....
Recently, Jack in the box started selling a spam, egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich - - a new best seller...
I especially like to slice it thin and fry it until crisp.... MMMmmmmm......

I've not seen the JITB version yet in our area yet. They must be test marketing it up in your area.
This calls for a ROADTRIP to CO Springs!
