(Bonk)

We tried Piada on Lane last week and both liked it a lot.

I was going to do chicken but the Italian sausage looked great, and after they let me sample it I went with that.

We got one pepperoni Piada stick and one artichoke and ate half of each, and I thought they were both excellent.

I think I'd do a bowl next time, because the bread was a hair overdone for my liking.

With two drinks our bill was $22, but it was two meals for my wife and I finished mine but I have no idea how. It was enormous.

According to their menu, they're expanding to Cleveland and Cincinnati soon. I'll definitely be a regular.
Re:Piada a new street food chain in Ohio? But it is very difficult for most people to cook properly. It is my least favorite pasta.

I wish Piada would present their piadini the way it is done in Italy -- folded over the contents rather than burrito-like.

Tell us more O Great One about your Piadini experiences in Italy.

No. But thank you for using my proper title.

Mikey were you eating it while Boar Hunting?
You remind me of the Great Commander McBragg.
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=DRWgDytn2Xo&vq=medium#t=15

I'd just like to say that I both heartily enjoy and fully endorse this post.
Re:Piada a new street food chain in Ohio? (bosco lover)

I ate at Piada last week when i was in Gahanna. My niece likes it so I gave it a shot. similar set up as Chipotle but the line moves slower. Everyone seemed to be getting the pasta bowls, which looked like a HUGE amount of food, but we went for a grilled salmon piada split for 2 people and it was still pretty filling. I liked the place, the number of veggie add ons was impressive-I went for arugula, artichoke hearts and a few others i don't recall. As "fast casual" goes it was enjoyable and fresh. I'd probably go again if I was in the area. It's kind of expensive but big enough to split a meal, and the music was bad and loud, but maybe I'm just geting old and cranky
Re:Piada a new street food chain in Ohio? The owners were from New England. I can't recall the name, but my daughter and her family used to eat there often.

I'm not aware of the place. I'll do some searching.
The Salt Cellar is probably the best place for seafood in the Valley. It's been here quite a while. It's all underground! http://saltcellarrestaurant.com/
It's a fun place with good food and good vibe! I recommend it.
Here's some others. All in Snottsdale! They're a little pricey:
http://www.eddiev.com/
http://www.mastrosrestaurants.com/
http://www.wildfishseafoodgrille.com/
http://www.taggiascottsdale.com/
Re:Piada a new street food chain in Ohio? Tortillas, flat bread, crepes, pita, etc.

I must have missed it when Mexico left America. Not to mention when America left America to develop the hot dog holder.

Ah, but Michael, the hot dog holder, commonly referred to as a Bun, is somewhat of a single use device whereas things like tortillas & pitas have a variety of universal uses.
Historically speaking, I believe it was America leaving Mexico, either by force or purchase of the lands. Scottsdale Rd.
www.pelliniitalian.com
It's scheduled to open in October. It's owned and operated by a group of guys with extensive restaurant marketing & operations management experience. My guess is if this one's successful, you'll see other locations and possibly franchises popping up all over the place.
This may be the next big food fad concept to hit the food world!!!
http://www.azcentral.com/thingstodo/dining/articles/2012/07/13/20120713mark-motta-open-pellini-italian-eatery-october-near-kierland.html
Re:Piada a new street food chain in Ohio?
