They were just bought out. So their menu has changed quite a bit. But the pizza is the same.

Looking at their website, the menu varies by location. The one constant is the Stuffed Pizza, the item on which they made their name. Second most common listing is the thin pizza. After that it's up for grabs. One location even had a general heading for "Artisan Pizzas", whatever that means.

Not knowing which Giordano's location chicagothor visited, I can't really say if he (or she) had a Chicago Style Pan Pizza, or the stuffed version. I stand by my assessment of their product. It used to be one of my favorites, but seems to have gone downhill more than a few years ago.

I definitely prefered Nancy's (at least in Naperville) over Giordano's.

I haven't been to Giordano's (St Charles, Il location) in a few years but I had an individual thin crust. Not fond of the sauce, I have several local mom & pops that I prefer.

Giordano's does a good stuffed pizza, but, IMHO, both Nancy's and Edwardo's do it better. I haven't had a chance to try Suparossa's yet.

If you're referring to Giordano's Stuffed Pizza, you should check out Nancy's or Suparossa's versions. If in fact you mean their Pan Pizza, there are, IMHO, so many other places to get a better version (one unnamed place I have a particular prejudice for), the list would be too long for this post.

As a transplant to Chicago, I've fallen in love with Giardano's deep dish pizza. There are others that also do it well, but Giardano's is my favorite. There's a bunch of them. So just find a location from there website.

Just my 2 cents.
