(cementhead)

I know nothing about barbecue except for what I ate at Buz and Ned's a few weeks ago. Good smoky pork sandwich with a tasty sauce. They are in Richmond Va and I am trying to come up with an excuse to get back down there for more. Good sides also.

Re:best barbecue plus barbecue recipees??? (SeamusD)

I know there are other Syracusans on the the board that like the Dinosaur, but for me their quality has gone steeply downhill over the years, and the one here in Syracuse can't compete with most other places I've ever been anymore. I can't comment on any of their other branches as I've never been. The stuff they show on tv is not the stuff they serve daily. Grody would be a word I'd use to describe it.

I used to frequent Dixie's BBQ and Cedar River Smokehouse near Seattle, those are probably my top two favorites.
Re:best barbecue plus barbecue recipees??? It's a religion here and varies greatly from one area to another. Take Georgia for instance. Northern GA bbq is sweet with a little heat, go down to Columbus and there is more vinegary sauce, and even a thin, fiery mustard sauce, not like SC's sweet mustard sauce. Eastern NC sauce has no tomato product in it, vinegar and spices. BBQ is a very complex thing in the south!
Re:best barbecue plus barbecue recipees??? Mind you, Clark's BBQ isn't bad by any means. And, they definitely have the Texas ambiance down to a tee!
My personal favorite: (In Austin)
http://www.travelchannel....tins-franklin-barbecue
Re:best barbecue plus barbecue recipees???
