Well don't spend you much time in being sorry for what you didn't get there. Let just enjoy the hot fish at some beach located restaurant. You would definitely enjoy it.

Wow, that is WAY far north of the city...just got back from there, will have to see if they're still there in March...

While doing some online research I learned that The Hot Fish Shop reopened in Rochester, Minnesota about 10 months ago. For years (1931-1999) it was a Winona landmark and I remember (albeit vaguely) eating there with a group of family members back in 1970. Online reviews appear to be somewhat mixed.
