There's a Mammy's Diner in downtown Bardstwon that gets good reviews. It's been at least a dozen years since I've been in the area and the last time we were there we ate on the Old Kentucky Dinner Train, which was a fun thing to do. And also had a meal the Kurtz House. But do do the whiskey trail tour of all the distrilleries if you can. My Dad and I really enjoyed that visit.

Old Heaven Hill Distillery is in Bardstown and Maker's Mark and Jim Beam distilleries are an easy drive away. We hit all three last spring for visits as well as Old Talbott for both a lunch and dinner. You can even stay at the Old Talbott Inn. There is nothing exceptional about the food but the history is worth going alone. We tried to get in other places besides Talbott twice but they were all oddly closed on Sundays and Mondays.

We stopped for lunch once in Bardstown. Ate at the Olde Talbott Tavern. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

I know there are some Kentucky folks on here so please lend a hand. Need Bardstown info. Old diners, cafes, barbecue joints. It's outside my range so....any good joints around there where a body can hunker down over some southern chow? Biscuits in particular. Thanks,scrump
