We visited the farm every summer for a few weeks, and Mom and Auntie worked to feed the horde of adults and 5 kids. On occasion, Uncle would bring home some of the "delicacies" the customer didn't want after the butchering. Mom and Auntie would open the package and squeal with delight at an assortment of brains, sweetbreads, kidneys, beef hearts, tongues, or whatever was there. They'd cook up a storm and try to get us kids to partake. I don't recall any of us taking them up on that. They, however, would enjoy the fare immensely. To this day, I have never tried any of these, and don't plan to either. Thanks for listening.
Re:Brains and Eggs (ann peeples)

I might try it if the person cooking it didnt tell me there were brains in it.....knowingly, no way.
Re:Brains and Eggs (edwmax)

CCinNJ

I grew up having fish eyes in my soup.
