The biggest surprise so far has been a guy with a thick Chicago accent ordering the left side of the menu on day 1!

It would be intersting if she shared a few stories during the ramp up and perhaps some of the surprises (if there were any) after opening!

I found out from Steve, the owner of the coffee house next door to Jigger's, that "the lines were out the door" this past weekend..... I'm hoping Karie responds....If not I'll remind her when I stop by to get coffee next door.

I've got to vouch for Karie and her husband Steve.

So far I've been to Jigger's Diner twice (the first time was with ChiTownDiner) since they've reopened and I can truly say they truly brought the diner to it's old glory.

So far I've ordered the Johnny Cakes twice. I've also had their soup special, corn chowder as well as the pit ham....Everything was excellent.
