Here are some of my favourites:

1. The corn dogs at the Super Dog stands at the Canadian National Exposition in Toronto are fabulous! Long, lumpy and they taste just right!

2. Funnel cakes, elephant ears.

3. Naleway's deep fried perogies.

4. There was an ice cream waffle trailer that set up at the Western Fair in London, Ontario for over forty years. It featured the standard rectangle of vanilla ice cream between two thick waffles but what set it apart was their own cherry-strawberry sauce with lumpy pieces of cherry and strawberry. It was simply the best ice cream waffle I've ever tasted and nothing at the CNE comes close. Sadly the trailer sported a for sale sign about eight years ago and it's not reappeared.

Re:Fair Food (mayor al)

Lisa...Use this in a sentence ( curmudgeonly ) and you can win a hundred points in the next Scrabble Tourniment ! For years, I couldn't stand the stuff, and it took several years of regular consumption of Indian food to develop a taste for it.

One time, I was making meatballs for my mother, who despises cilantro. Unfortunately, the supermarket had cilantro right next to the Italian parsley (for those who don't work with the fresh stuff, they look VERY much alike), and I didn't realize my mistake until I had already mixed it in.

Bart
Re:Fair Food (TJ Jackson)

Michael Hoffman

Now who doesn't absolutely love cilantro?

cant stand the stuff.

tastes like soap to me

and a lot of others too, a genetic thing: http://arxiv.org/abs/1209.2096

Re:Fair Food (mar52)

 Checking in...
Re:Fair Food (Michael Hoffman)

Now who doesn't absolutely love cilantro?
Re:Fair Food (chewingthefat)

I hear they have some tasty deep fried celery stuffed with cilantro!
Re:Fair Food (Michael Hoffman)

 Great game?
