Great, I get to finish it out - Zea - Moderately priced, lots of seafood choices, rotisserie specials, and two of their signature dishes - roasted corn grits, and Korean barbecue pork tacos with a sweet heat kim chee slaw are very good.

Yonge Street Grille at 475 Yonge Street in Toronto. It's part of the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Toronto, but it has a dedicated entrance of its own and comfort foods and grilled pickerel (actually walleye) on the menu.

Damn.....a few nights with "Sandy" in my neighborhood and I missed all the fun!.....we are down to X?????????? I Won't mention the X-rated stuff "Sandy" did to me, but there has to be an X-rated restaurant out there somewhere........Xerxes?.Xenoplis Diner?

And....um......going back to CC's H and her hints...........since she hints at X.............I'm trying to think of that Heart attack burger place.....but as far as I know, the waitresses are not X-rated! And Nice to see CC has also survived the storm

Now for those of you who can't abide chain pizza and like little out of the way places, I present to you Užupio Picerija in Užupis, Lithuania.

It's right across the bridge from Vilnius and directly facing the Užupis angel which usurped the place of a bust of Frank Zappa when first erected in April of 2002:


Užupis declared its independence from the rest of Lithuania on 1 April 1997 and not just one national flag was adopted but four, one for every season. Independence of this august republic is commemorated every year on the same date. Visitors' passports are duly stamped by somewhat sober custom guards and a good time is had by all.

I'd never forget. You don't have to be Irish to enjoy The Irish Pub. Just try to keep up with the Irish.

One if the prettiest pubs in America..full of history & charm.. The "poor Richard lunch special" is still ridiculously inexpensive. Great place to escape the casino for a somewhat quiet lunch (NJ is not known for quiet anything). The only place where I don't roll my eyes...at the gift shop.

When it comes to panzerotti, it's important to get one at a full fledged Italian eatery known for its pizza and panzerotti. If you get a preprepared one at a fast pizza place that sells pizza by the slice in Toronto e.g. Panzerotto Pizza, it will be disappointing. It really does have to be done right. And what's served in restaurants such as Papa's and Tony's in London is absolutely awesome! You won't believe the size of the thing when it's put in front of you and the taste lives up to the looks. The ones I've pictured are just minis. Here's a picture of one that's the right size from Louie's Pizza and Pasta in Ingersoll just east of London:

Oh the Panzarotti. . It's also a popular item in other parts of NJ...that looks a little like a calzone (popular in this part of NJ).. But if you say it looks like a deep-fried calzone or call it a calzone they are ready to run you over with a Panzarotti Turbo 350. Sheesh. It does look like a calzone. Don't tell them I said that.

Papa's Pizza at 117 St. George Street in London, Ontario. Just a little hole in the wall place. The pizza is good, but get the panzerotti! It's a deep fried pizza! This has been the signature dish of many of the Italian restaurants in the London area since Tony's Pizza introduced it sometime in the sixties. Every alumnus of the University of Western Ontario, one of Canada's very biggest universities, swears by London's panzerotti and Papa's is a well established neighbourhood purveyor.

While nobody can say where panzerotti first originated, I'm very confident that London exported the dish to Toronto and the rest of Ontario. I'm not sure how widespread panzerotti is in Canada outside of Ontario.
