New York is becoming a franchise Haven...each year an old classic goes by the wayside. I used to enjoy seeing the steaks displayed when you entered Gallagher's. I guess tourists prefer the outback franchise in town!

My office in the mid-70's was about 2 blocks from there.
Loved to go there for the food and the atmosphere. A Meat Lovin' Guys kinda place like many of the old steakhouses.

Gallagher's Steak House in New York is closing -- or not. The company has filed layoff notice as required by law, but now there's word they're trying to sell. I haven't been there in years, but I always enjoyed my visits. Pity.
