No doubt that there will be plenty of options in a city the size of Fort Wayne. I can tell you that the first thing I would do is call the excellent Nick's Kitchen in Huntington to see if they are open.

Wolcottville is in north central Indiana; much closer (and with more direct routes) to Ft. Wayne and South Bend than Valpo. Clay's looks like a good option if they're open. If not, I'd be looking in those other two towns for your next best bet.

Wolcotville as a vacation destination? In late November? I reckon if you're a fisherman, it's surrounded by some nice lakes. Other than that, I'm stumped as to why you're going there. Not criticizing, just sayin'.

I made vacation plans in Wolcottville, IN in spite of much protest from my better half that there "won't be any place to eat on Thanksgiving Day!" I pooh-pooh'd such talk thinking that EVERY town has at least one restaurant within driving distance open on that holiday.

I think I was wrong.

Potawatomi Inn in Angola just informed me that "we're only taking reservations for large parties" (?), and I'm hard pressed to find anywhere else that's even serving in the area. Do any of you have a suggestion for me? South Bend, though far, has Tippecanoe Place which is where by default we may end up. Any other ideas to get me out of the doghouse?
