have you thought of using velcro.

If you know how to (or know someone who) sew you can attach it to a cloth. They usually have velcro with sticky tape like material available most places that sell crafts.

any way i realised i hit my 30th post, here are some photos of my menu and cart....

You can find them for cheaper, I was just looking for a quick picture of them. They are pretty impressive looking compared to a plastic table cover. Whatever matches up with the image you want / need to present. Many of my customers wouldn't care what I used, but if it can help impress a few new customers it's probably worth the expense.

I use cheap table clothes from the dollar store.....$90.00 for a tablecloth? i don't think so.
Doesn't move. Put dog sled on one edge. If it was a problem I 'spose double sided tape would work.

I use the laminate material from Wal-mart. Needs no machine, costs about a buck a piece.
On my table, I put down a tablecloth and then a sheet of clear "plexiglass". I put print out menu's etc between them. Saves the cost of laminating.

I was thinking about the plexi over one of these cool stretch tablecloths http://stretchyscreens.co...MCFcU-Mgod5DYA1Q how do you keep it from moving?

You can buy the self laminaters in bulk at sams for not much more than what 10 cost at walmart.

I use them for various events but have a white board a friend did up with the menu options in permanent ink. I use dry erase to write in the prices.

I had not considered getting a laminator! Thank you for that Hungry Dog! Right now I print my menu out on Photo paper. I like the gloss of it. Adding lamination would step it up. I'll play with layouts and start getting some food pictures into the mix. Thank you one and all.

I did pretty much the samething.
Made signs using "Pro Publisher" then laminated them. got a laminator at Harbor frieght for $20 I keep them in a box and will set them up as needed, with the same velcro dots.
I like the idea about adding pictures!
I also used the program to create Cards - Business cards, Wedding Cards, Punch cards and FREE Hot Dog cards that I hand out to people I meet.
I have made several hand out menus with coupons attached. I also made a Catering flyer, I plan on going to the larger factories in the area and seeing if they are interested in sponsoring an "Employee appreciation" day where they supply the workers with a Hot Dog Lunch. Maybe they'll let me set up a couple times a month to help feed their workers.

I did similar...I got my extra large signs (11x14 I believe) printed out at Staples and they also laminated them. I left a box next to each item - empty.....that way I can use a wet erase pen and write my prices in..change them when I need to.

Big suggestion...have nice pics of your dogs next to the description! Pics work! Every day people say things "wow...that looks really good!" and I know they are talking about the pics....pictures sell food!

I did the same thing rob did, only I use computer stock paper and once laminated they hold up fine. I Velcro them on three sides of my cart.
I even Velcro-ed a 2X3 foot white corrugated sign with nice logos from esigns with a large hot dog on it.

I simply use card stock paper and print it off on my computer and have them laminated. I use the round Velcro buttons to mount it to the cart.

My suggestion is to not do anything like decals because my menu and pricing is always changing based on my venue. Keep it versatile and easy to change....

I could use some help from all you folks.
How did you create your menu for your cart?
I know all that I want on the menu. I know the pricing for the items. What I'm trying to figure now is the best way to present it, possible graphics ideas, size, location on the cart... anything in this area you could suggest. I've scoured the search function of the forum and not finding what I'm seeking.

Any assistance would be hugely appreciated.
