friendly's started jim dandy chicken in the mid '70's. They also tested a burger shop called special's. they were slider's and did'nt last all that long. of cource this was before they sold out to hershey. I really miss the chicken.

I remember when they still had a few outlets - in Westfield and Northampton maybe others. I thought that there was maybe one left somewhere, of course the franchise organization is long gone.

The only "Jim Dandy" I know of in relation to Friendly's was the giant banana sundae on their menu.

Whatever became of jim dandy chicken? It was started by friendly"s then sold off, their corporate office was in Ludlow,Ma for a time. The last one was in Springfield,Ma & closed a couple of year"s ago.
