There's one in Robinson PA that stinks. Its no different then any Applebee's, Fridays, etc, in my opinion.

It's ok. I mainly go with a couple of my brothers to take advantage of their "Lube Tube".
We got the "Haute Parm" wings last time we went, they were actually pretty good. I've only had a burger there once and probably wouldn't order another one. It's not my first choice if I'm just looking for wings. They're usually small and half of them are dried out like they've been sitting for a while, and not hot enough to melt the sauce onto them very well. Edible though.

Tried the Bloomsburg, PA location once, right off I80. The wings were small and overcooked, but the wing sauce was tasty. And like MH I made the mistake of ordering a burger

I'll get the occasional carryout wings order, they're not bad. But do not care to dine in.

There is a Quaker State & Lube five minutes from my house and I never go. It just isn't very good. I can confirm that the original location in Sharon is still terrific as we usually makeit up there at least once a year. I go for the half hot/half Louisiana Lickers.

Wonder if they are coming to San Antonio.In Schertz we have Wingstop,and just a mile or two from me in Live Oak is Buffalo Wildwings.Seems like aince Buffalo Wings became famous, now everyone seems to do wings.

I went to college in New Wilmington!! Westminster was a great school but the town was admittedly a little....well....Amish.
I like the wings at Quaker Steak & Lube. Unfortunately Michael ordered a burger at a place that was NOT known for their burgers!!

That was the sloppiest game I've ever seen!!

Quaker Steak has been going downhill for years, but going to the one in Sharon is fun. My old drummer was from Youngstown and guitar players were in New Castle so we went there a lot. They're still much better than Buffalo Wild Wings though. What sauce guy are you? I usually get Louisiana Lickers and Supercharged (they had to get lame/PC and lose the suicide). Giant Eagle sells the sauces, but they're pricey too.

One good thing about the Sharon one is that there's a Primanti's now in Grove City by the outlet stores, so you can kill 2 birds with one stone :)

Sauce: Suicide (which is, as you say now called "supersharged: for PC reasons) - #3 down on the Scoville Unit "hot list").

Thanks for the heads up on Primanti's at the Grove City Outlet, which also has a Steelers Store. When I am in that area I usually dine at Rachel's Roadhouse, one of the places founded by an old high school buddy: http://www.springfields.com/ - great eateries that have stood the test of time and the "closest beer" to my still-dry teenage hometown of New Wilmington.

And I certainly agree that Quaker Steak's food beats the pants off Buffalo Wild Wings.

You know, I kinda like the 8 turnover special at Quaker Steak.

I enjoyed every turnover thoroughly

It was a very good Batch

If you go, be sure to go to the original location in Sharon, PA, about 1/2-way between The Mighty Burgh and The Mistake On The Lake. (Sorry, I just listened to the Steelers turn over the ball EIGHT $#%&-ing TIMES v. the Brownies). Nothing beats the original, which is actually a "complex" of three or four buildings. go to car shows at their location every week in the summer in buffalo.just awful and very overated just like buffalo wild wings.just another chain food joint.

A few years ago I ate at the then-new Quaker Steak in Portage Indiana, where I had a cheeseburger along with hot wings and onion rings. The wings and rings were pretty decent but the burger was a disappointment, dry and overcooked just like the one Michael described.

We got one here a bit ago, and I ended up going since they sponsored a promotion for our AHL team and we all got coupons. We were told we HAD to get their Cheesesteak. Meh...it's not awful, but wasn't anything to write home about. Plus the only location is on the other side of town from me. I wouldn't avoid going there, but I also wouldn't go out of my way for it, either.

Glad you're happy about having one, though! I know there are places I like that other people aren't so excited about...and to them I say "whatever", just like I'm sure you're saying to us.

I stopped at Quaker State in Erie Pa a couple of years ago. Auite frankly in my opinion what I got was not good. You live and you learn.

Mrs. Metro and I had a delightful lunch there today: great wings, fries, and rings. As an added bonus our waitress had just moved to Texas a few months ago from Youngstown, OH; she had worked at the "original location" in Sharon, PA for several years.

Michael: In my nearly 40 (!) years of going to this wonderful wing joint I have never thought to order a burger. Stick to ~~Five Guys~~ Waffle House for the burgers and, like lleechef, have the wings next time.

lleechef and I visited a Quaker State & Lube just north of Columbus recently and I was pretty disappointed. She had wings and enjoyed them, but my medium rare burger was dry, well-done and tasteless. In fact, I'd bet it was a frozen, previously-cooked beef patty that was microwaved. I won't be back.

Oh happy day!

I've loved this place from the 1970's, and have visited their original location by the Shenango River in downtown Sharon, PA on every trip "back home" since. (And each of my four wives and four kids love it, too!).

When we passed it at 80 MPH on our way to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner I almost snapped my neck. After we arrived at Copeland's for our Cajun Deep Fried Turkey a quick check on the I-Pad revealed that they are indeed finally in Dallas.
