It's about 10-12 miles from the place where I-10 EAST (Tucson) and Rt. 60, (Globe exit) split. Take Rt 60 EAST.
It's North of Rt. 60. Get off Rt 60 at the Greenfield Rd. Exit and turn left. Go to University. It's in a shopping center on the NE Corner.

Re:My New Favorite Breakfast in Mesa AZ (mar52)

Thanks! I might be driving through there next month and it sounds like a gem of a stop.

going to look at the map now.
Re:My New Favorite Breakfast in Mesa AZ (kaszeta)

Thanks. Word of mouth is all they need along with recommendations in places like Urbanspoon:
http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/22/263999/restaurant/Phoenix/Red-Mountain-Cafe-Mesa
The place is owned by "Yoopers" from the "UP".
The crowd and employees this AM, (They open at 5AM!) were older people who love good home cooked meals. The only kids I saw there were with their Grandparents - Trying to educate them on what a good, stick to your ribs, Midwestern Breakfast tastes like.
The Bikers are older harmless guys and gals reliving their youth!
My standard "Test Breakfast" is usually Chicken/Country Fried Steak and Biscuits. The place passed with flying colors! Excellent Gravy and Home Fries too. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked terrific. 3 Egg Omelettes, Pancakes that covered the plate, French Toast, South of the Border Skillets, etc. My Coffee Cup was never empty. Great service even though they were slammed.
They have an AYCE Fish Fry on Wed & Fri. I'm gonna try that.
For all you visitors who rave about Matts Big Breakfast------Matt's doesn't even come in a close second to this place.
Put it on your "Must Visit On My Next Trip to Phoenix" list. 5 Stars!
