The Transformer pad is blue tooth enabled so you can link it to a printer.But you still have to connect it to the access point though a ethernet.(as far as I can tell). Because I don't think there is a receipt printer with blue tooth.

Ours will be in the store in a couple of days (a mini), along with 2 iphones. Very tough move for me going to ios from droid. Hopefully it will be as good as it looks.

Let me know how it goes. I like the looks of the square register app, but I'm a staunch droid fan and considering and i~anything is a tough one.

You played around with the registroid ap? Pretty much the same thing as square except you have to use a third party for credit card transactions. I am setting up the POD for the cart I am starting based off registroid on a Asus Transformer pad. The Transformer pad is blue tooth enabled so you can link it to a printer, just set up a wireless access point in your truck and your online.

Apple sucks!

I ordered the 145, should have it in a few days to play around with. We don't open until April for the real test of Square Register and the 145.

FYI I had read some reviews that said the 650 was slower, is more expensive, larger, and you also have to buy a separate power supply not included in the price.

How do you use the cash drawer without the receipt printer?I have the Ipad and I want to use the Square or vend app.I have asked both many times and they send me a link about how to hook the receipt printer to the cash drawer.I really don't need the printer,Just want the ipad and cash drawer.

The printer is needed for the electrical signal that opens the drawer. To go without a printer you would need a manual open drawer.

I don't know if it's something new, but Square's basic equipment package is just the ipad stand and cash drawer for $249.

Our plan is to use a printer to print a receipt that would be used in the kitchen for the order detail. We could in turn hand that to the customer with their meal.

lots of apps out there that are using square as their payment for the POS systems. Square register is really nice, It's a bigger version of the iphone app & much more controlled. Gives you a good breakdown and you should be able to get some screenshots or check youtube. <--- awesome reference website for zillions of query. Merry Christmas

Square has a register program that looks very tempting when combined with an Ipad, no experience with it yet though.

I don't have it but some information can be found around the internet. If you search youtube there are a ton of videos available for you to look at. Sorry I can't be of more help.

looking to upgrade .. anyone using an i pad, how s the square app performing with it.? i'm not happy at all with cell phone crap, if so are yo using a printer. i'm assuming it needs to be an "air printer" i was thinking of the samba pos system
